Contact Lenses in Denver, Colorado

Full Selection of Premium Lenses and Products

Contact lenses are constantly growing in popularity, and for good reason! Comfortable and convenient, they offer crystal-clear vision that doesn’t get in the way of your natural beauty. Modern materials and advanced technology have led to the development of many new types of contacts. Nowadays, our eye doctors can prescribe lenses for almost every vision condition.

We offer complete services for contact lenses in our Denver, CO, optical store, including contact lens eye exams, contact lens fittings, and a full range of quality lenses and products.

Contact Lens Types

To satisfy the needs of all our patients, we stock a wide variety of contacts in our Denver collection. Each specific type has its own features, pros and cons, and sometimes patients need to try different types until we identify the ideal fit. No worries - if we run out of your specific brand, we’ll custom order it for you!

Soft Contact Lenses

Effective for many eye conditions and vision prescriptions, soft contacts are generally comfortable immediately. They are made from a flexible material that conforms well to your eyeball. Soft lenses are available in disposable, daily wear, and extended wear versions. Many people with nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism and presbyopia benefit from the clarity and comfort of soft contact lenses.

Hard, Rigid Gas Permeable Lenses (GP)

Hard lenses may be better for some vision conditions. They excel at providing crisp vision for many challenging eye conditions, and their high oxygen permeability lowers the risk of eye infections. It is normal for there to be a short period of getting used to hard lenses until they are comfortable. When cared for properly, these durable lenses can last a few years.

Specialty Contact Lenses

If you have a hard-to-fit vision condition, such as astigmatism, keratoconus, or presbyopia, we stock a range of specialty lenses to meet your needs. Depending upon your vision prescription, our eye doctor may advise toric lenses, hybrid lenses, bifocals/multifocals, or scleral lenses.

Contact Lens Fittings

We have a full team of eye doctors on site to fulfill all eye care services, including your comprehensive contact lens fitting. Using first-rate optometric technology, our eye doctor will measure your eyes precisely to fit you with the ideal contacts.

At the start of your contact lens fitting, we’ll ask you to tell us all about yourself! In order to match you with the best contacts, we need to know about your lifestyle and visual needs.  Do you want contact lenses for sports once a week? Or do you want to wear your contacts daily from morning to night? These details make a significant difference in the lenses that we will recommend for you to purchase.

Tests & Procedures

Visual acuity testing is necessary to generate your accurate vision prescription. This will give us important information about the lens powers you need.

We may perform corneal topography to map out the surface of your cornea. This advanced, digital procedure is a way for us to view your corneal curvature and optimize the fit of your contact lenses. Irregular corneas and astigmatism may require specialty lenses, such as toric.

Contact Lens Measurements

Your lenses need to have the correct measurements, or you risk uncomfortable wearing and possible damage to your eye. Measurements include curvature, diameter, pupil and iris size, and quantity of your tear film. Dry eyes often require specific types and materials of lenses.

Once we have all your measurements, we’ll provide you with a pair of trial lenses, and our eye doctor will assess their fit by administering a slit lamp examination. All of these procedures are quick and painless.

Instruction on Care & Inserting Contacts

After we finish your contact lens fitting and you have a prescription for the ideal lenses, you will receive instructions on the best care, disinfection, and handling practices.

Follow-Up Contact Lens Exam

Typically, you will need to wear your new contact lenses for a week or so before returning to our Denver, CO, office for a thorough examination. We will check the fit and hygiene of your contacts and ensure that they are providing you with clear, comfortable, and healthy eyesight.

If you are experiencing any problems with your lenses – related to comfort or vision – we encourage you to tell us! Sometimes a change in your prescription or type of contact lenses is necessary.

Return for Routine Contact Lens Eye Exams

Even if you have no discomfort or complaints, it’s essential to return for regular contact lens eye exams once a year in our Denver eye care clinic. Your eye doctor may detect warning signs of a problem before you notice any symptoms. When this occurs, we may issue a new prescription and/or advise you on a new wearing schedule and method of caring for your lenses. Eye exams are the only way to promote the lasting health of your eyes when wearing contacts!

  • Fortunately for those who don’t like the look, feel or inconvenience of reading glasses, there is another option. Bifocal and multifocal lenses are also available in contact lenses in both soft and Rigid Gas Permeable (RGP) varieties.
  • These rigid lenses aren’t as popular or well-known as soft lenses, but they offer the advantages of durability, crisp vision and high oxygen permeability.
  • Challenges such as astigmatism, presbyopia, keratoconus and dry eyes needn’t be a barrier to contact lens wear, but they do require more time and patience.
  • “I can’t wear soft contacts; I have astigmatism.” This once-true statement is now simply a myth.
